1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. As you use LearnPiq, we collect learning progress data including completed lessons, XP earned, streak history, and exercise responses. This data is used to personalize your learning experience and track your progress.

If you choose to find friends from your contacts, LearnPiq accesses your device contacts (only with your permission) and sends their email addresses to our server solely to check which of them already have LearnPiq accounts. Your contacts are never stored on our servers or used for any other purpose, and you can use the app fully without granting contacts access.

If you set a profile picture, the image you choose is uploaded to our storage and shown to people you are friends with. Setting one is optional, and you can replace or remove it at any time from your profile.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the LearnPiq learning experience
• Track your learning progress, streaks, and achievements
• Generate personalized course content
• Display your profile on leaderboards (display name only)
• Send you learning reminders and streak notifications (if enabled)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and secure authentication. Learning data is synced across your devices when you sign in with the same account. Local data is stored on your device for offline access.

4. AI Generated Content

LearnPiq uses AI to generate course content and exercises tailored to your learning goals. Your learning preferences and topic selections are sent to our AI service to create personalized lessons. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases of LearnPiq Pro and gem packs are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment card details. To activate your purchase we store the App Store transaction identifier, the product purchased, the subscription status and its expiry date, linked to your account.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your display name, avatar and XP may be visible to other users through the leaderboard and friends features. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: Supabase for database, authentication and storage, Apple for payments and push notifications, Google for Sign in with Google, and an AI provider for course generation. They process data only to deliver these functions on our behalf.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from Settings, your profile, progress, friendships and generated courses are permanently removed from our servers, usually within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained longer where required for tax and accounting obligations.

8. Children's Privacy

LearnPiq is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

• Access your personal data through your profile

• Opt out of notifications at any time
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us
